The Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs has advised that the Companies Amnesty has been extended until January 31. This is to give companies ‘one final opportunity to comply with the Companies Act, in terms of filing their annual returns and returns of beneficial ownership, among other things, before the provisions of the Act are strictly enforced,’ the AG’s Office said in a media release yesterday. The order was effected from January 13.
